The Civic Space park next to the Arizona State University Downtown Campus is now open to the public. Finally, some green space with an amazing landmark art display in the heart of the city.
Phoenix blogger Edward Jensen wrote about the new public art display here.
Arty Girl believes it will be “a symbol of our city” – standing 145 feet at its highest point.
I think “Patience” is the new centerpiece for our city. According to the city of Phoenix website, the installation cost $2.5 million, created 150 jobs, and pumped hundreds of thousands of dollars back into Arizona’s economy. You can read more about the installation here.
The space is fabulous. If you haven’t seen it in person, you should. The official grand opening is today – 4/16 at 3 p.m.
