Phoenix First Friday things to do

Looking for things to do in Downtown Phoenix tonight? People heading out this First Friday will have another stop to add to their list of must see places and things to do throughout the urban core.
First Friday expands to Heritage Square The home of the Arizona Science Center and Pizzeria Bianco will now have a First Friday event that’s being billed as a laid back alternative to all the activity in the Roosevelt area. You won’t find street performers and vendors here. Instead look for outdoor art exhibits and hand picked bands and DJ’s. Heritage Square is located just north of the Washington and 7th Street lightrail station. For more information, click here.
The first ever virtual scavenger hunt KBAQ Classical 89.5 FM and the Grammy Award-winning Phoenix Chorale have a valuable prize package for the person or group who can correctly identify the 18 Central Phoenix locations posted here. No worries if you can’t find all of them by Friday night. Your answers aren’t due until the next First Friday in October. Find out all the details and get your entry form here.
After Hours Gallery is bringing sexy back A new month means there’s a new exhibit at the McDowell Avenue art gallery. Boundless - a calling to be free features the photography of John Covington. If you’re not familiar with his work, I’d suggest you get acquainted here. I think it’s safe to say you’ll find me at After Hours tonight. You can walk or ride your bike to the gallery from the McDowell lightrail station and then head west, the gallery is near 1st Avenue.
Need more information on First Friday in Phoenix? You can find it on Artlink here. Need a refresher on how to ride the lightrail? Click here. And if you’re not up to walking or riding your bike around downtown, be sure to download this pdf file here to find out how to get around on Ollie the Trolley.

This is not related to your post at all but I thought you might find interesting. The Phoenix Greyhound Park is closing in December. http://www.phoenixgreyhoundpark.com
It has a light rail stop right in front of it. What makes it a fun light rail outing is if you call when you get there they will send a guy in a golf cart to come and pick you up at the light rail stop.
