Thank you

Dear Downtown Phoenix,
I figured ‘Downtown Phoenix’ would be the best way to address my thank you note for the Downtown Phoenix Coffeebar Potluck. After all, we came together as one community to showcase all the cool coffee bars and the great things happening in our urban core. The event was a great success! I originally asked the coffeebars to donate a dozen of their signature pastries and desserts for the event, however each coffee bar increased their donation after seeing more than 150 people had RSVP’d on the Facebook invite. Doing a little bit of guess-timating, I would say there were close to 100 people who attended. During the event, I met a couple from Mesa who wanted to see what’s happening in Downtown Phoenix. My apologies for those who couldn’t find us…last minute we decided to move the tables to the breezeway near an electrical outlet and away from any inclement weather.
A big thank you to Cartel Coffee Lab in Downtown Phoenix, Conspire, Copper Star Coffee, Fair Trade Cafe, Lola Coffee, Lux Coffebar, Royal Coffee Bar and Urban Beans. Thank you to all the pastry chefs for their fabulous creations. Thank you R.J. for the coffee warmers. Thank you Jim for the extension cord. Thank you Matthew, Tracie, Irene, Kathleen and Autumn for the last minute help…
Thank you for making Downtown Phoenix a great place to live.
Sincerely,
Tony the Light Rail Blogger

Thank YOU! My husband and I are moving from Chandler to Downtown (specifically to Roosevelt Row) in about 2 weeks, and I can’t wait to be a part of this community! I was pleasantly surprised to see what a huge turnout there was! I came out for the coffee potluck and met up with some friends out there. We all had a great time, and for me being new to the neighborhood, this was a great introduction to some of local shops that would have probably taken me a while to discover on my own.
