In case you missed the big light-rail headline in Phoenix over the weekend….
You know you’ve had too much to drink when you drive over abridge meant for the light-rail. According to local Phoenix TV station KTVK, a driver who police believe was driving under the influence attempted to drive onto the bridge the crosses Tempe Town Lake. You can see the video and read the story here.
While this situation might be funny to read about, there is something to be learned here. First, with all the alternative transportation choices in the Valley, there is really no need to drink and drive. Second, make sure you’re familiar with all the signage around the light rail tracks. What are those signs, you ask? Valley Metro and METRO have everything you need to know about driving around the tracks here. Once you’re on the video player, scroll down to the section traffic signs and signals.
