Riding the Light Rail to Ignite Phoenix

One of my favorite destinations along the METRO light rail is the Phoenix Art Museum. Besides having some really cool art exhibits, the museum will also play host to one of my favorite events this Friday night! Back in April, I told you Ignite Phoenix will take place at the Phoenix Art Museum. In case you’re not aware of the format, 18 speakers were chosen to do a presentation for five minutes using 20 slides, talking about their passion. If this is your first time attending an Ignite, you’ll walk away totally inspired to be your creative best! If you didn’t get tickets to see the presentation, there’s still an opportunity for you to attend the Ignite Phoenix After Party which will also take place at the museum.
Here’s the deal: parking is limited at the museum. Not only will there be a full house for the presentations, but there will also be even more people arriving for the after party. I strongly recommend taking the light rail to the museum. Getting to the Phoenix Art Museum is a cinch using public transportation and is very affordable. An all day pass will cost $3.50 and can be used for your after after party at one of my favorite local restaurants or bars in downtown Phoenix.
The Phoenix Art Museum is located directly across the street from the McDowell light rail station (Central and McDowell). Information on how to ride the light rail can be foundĀ here. See you at Ignite!

I love taking the light rail to PhxArt, have you been to see the Exposing Time exhibit yet? I loved it. I’ve also been using the light rail to go into downtown Phoenix to see the Diamondbacks play, and of course eat some Coach and Willies.
