METRO Light Rail Ridership Takes Summer Dip

METRO light rail ridership numbers took a dip during the month of June, meanwhile the year over year numbers continue to increase. According to METRO’s website, there were 942,154 riders during the month of June compared to 991,999 during the month of May. While there was a decrease in the month to month numbers, there was a 15% increase in the amount of riders during June of 2010 than during the previous June (815,566). Also in June:
- The average weekday ridership was 35,315
- The average Saturday ridership was 24,370
- The average Sunday/holiday was 16,938
