The growing bike culture in Phoenix is making news in the latest edition of Wavelength Magazine. Author Si Robins, (DPJ, A Car-Lite Lifestyle in Downtown Phoenix,) introduces us to several people who are spending less time behind the wheel of a car and more time holding handlebars on a bike. It’s true, Robins tells us more people are embracing this form of alternative transportation.

A growing number of Valley residents are getting around on two narrow wheels, biking to and from work (or for–gasp–their personal life), reducing polution and getting exercise while getting out from behind glass and wheel.

Instead of telling us about people who like bikes, Robins looks at how people have created a life around their bike. Yours truly is mentioned in the piece, and so is Joseph Perez from The Bicycle Cellar (Tempe) and bike-polo fan Erica Lucci.
