APS is helping connect the Desert Botanical Gardens to the light rail in Phoenix.  A shuttle service runs from the Washington/Priest light rail stop and drops you off at the main entrance.

According to the DBG, look for the shuttle at the gazebo next to the Starbucks on the NE corner of Wash/Priest. The first shuttle picks up passengers at 9 a.m. and the last one leaves the gardens at 7 p.m.  The van runs every half hour and the price is FREE!  APS is picking up the tab thanks to grant money.  The service will run through the end of May.

The DBG has a collection of rare and endangered species of plants, and in the last decade has spent millions to enhance the facility, with plans to open a new exhibit this year.
